The American Community Survey (ACS) has replaced the Census long form and provides important demographic data on communities in intervals of either 1, 3, or 5 years.  ACS 5-year data provides the greatest statistical reliability, while the 1-year data provides the most current information.  ACS demographic data updates correlate with the size of a community.
