Social Services Transportation Advisory Council
The Social Services Transportation Advisory Council (SSTAC) reviews and comments on the transit needs of the elderly, disabled, and persons of limited means within the county during the annual process for allocating Transportation Development Act (TDA) funds. The SSTAC also advises the transportation planning agency on any other major transit issues, including the coordination and consolidation of specialized transportation services.
SSTAC members are to represent public transit users who are either elderly, disabled, or a person of limited means, comprised of public transit providers, social service providers, and social service agencies that provide services to these transit dependent groups, as well as interested citizens. To participate as a representative of one or more of these transit groups, submit a KCAG Committee Appointment Application for review by the KCAG Transportation Policy Committee. The term of appointment for representatives is for three years, which may be renewed for an additional three-year term.
